Good Company for the Road Ahead: Free Support Groups for Fathers and Male Caregivers of Children with Autism

Raising a child on the autism spectrum is a journey filled with unique experiences, challenges, and meaningful moments. While fathers and male caregivers play an important role in supporting their children, finding a community of people who understand their experiences can sometimes be difficult.

Ausome Fathers is helping change that by offering free men's support groups throughout fall and winter 2026, creating a welcoming space for fathers and male caregivers to connect, share experiences, and build lasting relationships.

A Community of Support and Understanding

No father or caregiver should have to navigate the journey alone. Ausome Fathers provides an opportunity for men raising children on the autism spectrum to come together, exchange advice, discuss challenges, celebrate successes, and learn from one another.

Led by Jay Little, MA, LPC, a licensed counselor and father, these peer support groups encourage open conversations and meaningful connections in a supportive environment.

Whether you're looking for guidance, friendship, or simply a chance to speak with other fathers who understand your experiences, these gatherings offer a place where you belong.

Why Join Ausome Fathers?

Parenting a child on the autism spectrum comes with experiences that aren't always easy to explain to someone who hasn't walked a similar path.

These groups provide opportunities to:

  • Build meaningful connections with fathers and caregivers who share similar experiences.

  • Share challenges and successes in a welcoming, judgment-free environment.

  • Learn from one another through honest conversations and shared perspectives.

  • Find encouragement and community while navigating the responsibilities of fatherhood and caregiving.

  • Create lasting friendships with others who understand the journey.

The groups are free to attend and are designed for peer connection and support rather than clinical treatment.

Your Journey Doesn't Have to Be Walked Alone
